We've had a dedicated group of volunteers working since 2010 to make sure that dogs that need a second chance, can have one.
Our Team
Bobbi
Bobbi’s compassion and love for animals started at a yong age helping care for her family’s animals. As the years went by, she began volunteering with various animal resuces - fostering and assisting in any way she could. In 2009 she founded Windy City Canine Rescue and the rest is history
Bobbi is the glue that holds us together managing intakes, coordinating veterinarian care and taking on many of the administrative duties.
Kelly
Kelly is our head adoption coordinator and has been with the rescue for a number of years now. Kelly does an incredible job screening potential adopters and ensuring all our rescue dogs find the furever homes they deserve.
Chris and Mary are 4 time foster fails, turned dedicated volunteers. Mary is the foster home coordinator and does the foster home checks and all things foster dog related. Chris is often seen at events with set up, take down, or just general events.

Janay
Janay started out as a foster home with another southern Alberta rescue a few years ago and then came into Windy City as a foster home. Her first foster ended up being her first foster fail! She has now taken on the role of one of the adoption coordinators and absolutely love helping to find all these wonderful dogs their perfect furever home!
Kristie is the volunteer coordinator and a foster home! Kristie takes care of making sure all of our events are staffed with volunteers and answering any questions related to volunteering with WC. Her family has three rescue dogs, two of which are Windy City Alumni!

Christie
Christie started as an event volunteer before moving into the foster home coordinator role. She now lives in Calgary and receives the international arrivals from the airport through customs as the transportation coordinator.
